Avery Sunshine
Avery Sunshine combines R&B, soul gospel, and jazz into his distinctive style. Avery Sunshine has performed on Broadway and at festivals in Europe, as well as her appearance at the Democratic National Convention. Sunshine was born Denise White. Her birthplace is Chester Pennsylvania, where she began her music career singing and playing the piano in the church. She attended Spellman College in Atlanta where she started her journey into music on Atlanta's R&B scene. The Fighting Temptations The single that featured her vocals, Stalk You A House 12, was released only in Japan. The song has been remixed numerous times and is the mainstay of her live shows. The Fighting Temptations was the second soundtrack that she sang on. The band was hired as the main keyboardist of Tyler Perry's stage play Meet the Browns in 2005. Jennifer Holliday was the Grammy and Tony Award winner who approached her in 2007 for a position as the director of chorus for Dreamgirls, the theatre production in Atlanta's National Black Arts Festival. Sunshine was noticed by America during the 4 performances a day during the 2008 Democratic National Convention. Sunshine was later requested to sing with the President Barack Obama at his inauguration.
